The school was initiated by Arya Vidya Sabha in 1983 with the sole objective of providing quality public school education, without sacrificing the rich traditional, cultural and moral values of Ancient India. The School has reached its 29th progressive year. It struggled hard to keep pace with the times and maintain its lofty stature as the premier Institution for the education of young boys and girls from Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. It is spread in a 6.5 acres campus of its own with aesthetically designed building and is a self sufficient unit with about Eighteen hundred students on roll from classes Nursery to XII. The institution follows the CBSE syllabus and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
